Milo is a 15 month old Husky and is about 55lbs. We adopted him from a rescue in Lynden WA when he was about 6 months old and has been by our side since the day we picked him up.
Milo has so many good qualities that would make him a great addition to an active home. He is a good mannered dog and absolutely loves all dogs, no matter what size. His personality really comes through when he’s playing with a friend, and he loves to chase, wrestle and play tug of war with any dog. He is a very high energy and curious dog, and we have done our best to channel that energy in positive ways through doggy daycare, constant training, and puzzle toys to keep his body and mind in a good place. We take him to Tails a Wagging about 2 times per week, and he has passed all of his evaluations with the staff there.
We take Milo on walks twice a day, or a run/hike every day. He loves to explore and sniff. Car rides might be his second favorite thing next to pulling you up Oyster Dome.
When Milo isn’t active, he loves to nap on his canopy bed or in his crate. He knows his crate is his safe place and will run into it when he’s feeling scared. Once he gets to know the people in his house, he loves to be petted and will prefer to chew on his toys and bones in your lap. Milo knows how to sit, stay, settle, and will wait for his release word before walking out of a door.
Milo has made such a loving addition to our family, but sadly he cannot get along with our cat. He has a very high prey-drive and needs to live in a home with absolutely no cats. We are heartbroken to let him go, but ultimately think he will be a happier dog living in a house with other dogs instead of a cat that triggers his instincts to chase/hunt. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to add Milo to your family.
