Koda is a beautiful Siberian Husky, he is an outside dog and needs a family who enjoys the outdoors. He will make a great partner for an avid gardener. He was originally rescued from a family that bought him and didn’t want him. He has had an FCE Fibrocartilaginous Embolus. It is not known how it happened as we were out of town and my dad was at our house he went outside and saw Koda clawing his way to the house. He lost complete control of his rear end. We did about 7 months of physical therapy (hydrotherapy, laser and acupuncture) and he regained most of his strength except for his incontinence. He can’t feel when he goes pee or poop. He is strictly an outside dog. We have built him an insulated shed with a heater during the winter, but of course he would prefer to sleep in the snow as most typical huskies do. He is and has always been the sweetest and everyone that meets him says he has an old soul. Koda is also a dog rescuer. We use to live on 5 acres at the end of a dirt road and Koda would somehow find abandoned dogs and would gain their trust to come to us. He loves to be with other dogs especially huskies. He is good with kids and other animals. I know most huskies are escape artists and Koda is no different, he is a digger. He loves to talk to you and will tell you if he wants something. We would like to find him a good stable home someone that is experienced with huskies and will love him for him and spend time with him. Please email email@example.com if you would like to make Koda part of your family. He currently lives in Coeur d’Alene, ID.
