As written by the wonderful foster home who offered to care for her – Gwen, the most sweetest Gwen was found as a stray on the lonely streets in Texas, pregnant, hungry and alone. She was brought into the Corpus Christi animal shelter looking worse for wear! Unknown to the vet who examined her, she had Heart Worm disease and was eventually confirmed by a blood test! So now she’s weeks pregnant and with a horrible heart disease and shame on her previous owners for letting this poor baby girl loose in that condition! Her sad story pulled so tight on my heart strings and I had to save her, so I made the commitment to foster her all the way over here in Oregon!
Gwen is a very special lady, Husky Mix.
She stands approximately 30” tall, and is short and light, for the Husky breed.
She was a stray before the shelter and is only about 2 years of age!
Gwen is undergoing heart worm treatment. She’s a love and will melt your heart with those eyes that make you want to love her! She’s met human strangers and is non-reactive, warm and welcoming for more pets! She seems to be good with other dogs as long as they aren’t near her puppies, so we will know more on that later! Preferred no cats at all, not sure about small dogs! She knows the doggy door, walks great on leash and will sleep in a kennel! This girl is the Husky one dreams of having, well behaved, loving and non-destructive.
Once her heartworm treatment is done, weaning of puppies and is spayed, she’ll be ready to find her new forever home and warm your heart with lots of love!
